Japanese Crispy Egg Sandwich
Servings - 3
INGREDIENTS
Boiled eggs - 6
Milk - 2 tablespoons
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Powdered sugar - 1/2 teaspoon
Mustard sauce - 2 tablespoons
Bread slices - 6
Water - for brushing
Whisked eggs - 2
Crushed corn flakes - 150 grams
Oil - for frying
Parsley - for garnishing
PREPARATION
1. Place the 6 boiled eggs in a bowl and mash them well using a fork.
2. Add 2 tablespoons milk, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, and 2 tablespoons mustard sauce. Mix well tpo combine.
3. Trim the crusts from a bread slice and flatten it with a rolling pin. Place a portion of the prepared egg mixture in the center and brush the edges with water.
4. Cover with another flattened bread slice and press the edges together using a fork to seal. (See video.)
5. Dip the sandwich into the whisked eggs, then coat it evenly with the crushed cornflakes.
6. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on absorbent paper.
7. Cut the sandwich in half and garnish with parsley.
8. Serve with your favorite dip.
