Khas Khas Ka Halwa
Servings - 3 - 5
INGREDIENTS
Poppy seeds - 100 grams
Water - 700 milliliters
Ghee - 120 milliliters
Milk - 500 milliliters
Sugar - 130 grams
Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Almonds - 1 1/2 tablespoons
Cashews - 1 1/2 tablespoons
PREPARATION
1. In a mixing bowl, add 100 grams poppy seeds, 700 milliliters water and soak for overnight.
2. Transfer this into a blender and blend it into a smooth paste.
3. Heat 120 milliliters ghee in a skillet, add the blended mixture in it and roast until it turns golden brown in color.
4. Add 500 milliliters milk and mix it well.
5. Bring it to a boil.
6. Add 130 grams sugar and mix it again.
7. Now, add 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder, 1 1/2 tablespoons almonds, 1 1/2 tablespoons cashews and mix it well.
8. Cook until it gets thick consistency.
9. Garnish with almonds.
10. Serve hot.
Oats Halwa
Servings - 3 - 5
INGREDIENTS
Oats - 150 grams
Ghee - 1 teaspoon
Cashews - 1 tablespoon
Almonds - 1 tablespoon
Ghee - 60 milliliters
Sugar - 75 grams
Milk - 330 milliliters
Cardamom powder - 1/4 teaspoon
PREPARATION
1. In a blender, add 150 grams oats and blend it into a fine powder.
2. Keep aside.
3. Heat 1 teaspoon ghee in a pan, add 1 tablespoons cashews, 1 tablespoon almonds and roast until it turns golden brown in color.
4. Remove it from heat and keep aside.
5. Heat 60 milliliters ghee in a another pan, add the blended mixture in it and mix it well.
6. Add 75 grams sugar and mix it again.
7. Now, add 330 milliliters milk and mix it well.
8. Cook until the halwa getting thickened.
9. Add 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder, roasted dry fruits and mix it well.
10. Garnish with almonds.
11. Serve hot.
