2 Ways Mawa Rolls

Mawa Roll

Servings - 3 - 4

INGREDIENTS


Khoa - 150 grams

Powdered Sugar - 20 grams

Milk - 30 milliliters

Saffron - 1/4 teaspoon

Khoa - 150 grams

Cardamom powder - 1/4 teaspoon

PREPARATION

1. Take a pan, add 150 grams khoa and stir well.

2. Then, add 20 grams powdered sugar and mix it well.

3. Cook until the mixture thickens.

4. Remove it from heat and keep aside.

5. In a bowl, add 30 milliliters milk, 1/4 teaspoon saffron and mix it well.

6. Soak for 10 - 12 minutes.

7. Take a pan, add 150 grams khoa and stir well.

8. Then, add 20 grams powdered sugar and mix it well.

9. Now, add the soaked saffron milk and mix it again.

10. Cook until the mixture thickens.

11. Remove it from heat and keep aside.

12. Take the prepared khoa mixture, add 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder and mix it well.

13. Place the khoa mixture on a butter paper.

14. Place a another paper on it.

15. Flatten it with the help of a rolling pin.

16. Cut it into rectangle.

17. Take some khoa kesar mixture and roll it in cylinder shape.

18. Place it on khoa mixture.

19. Carefully roll it completely.

20. Cut it into pieces.

21. Cover it with silver leaf.

22. Serve.

Mawa Bread Roll

Servings 3 - 4

INGREDIENTS

Sugar - 400 grams

Water - 500 milliliters

Khoa - 150 grams

Organic food color( orange) - 1/4 teaspoon

Almonds - 1 tablespoon

Cashews - 1 tablespoon

Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon

Powdered sugar - 100 grams

Bread

Milk

Grated coconut

PREPARATION

1. Boil 500 milliliters water in a pan , add 400 grams sugar and then sugar syrup will start to boil.

2. Heat a pan, add 150 grams khoa and stir until its melted completely and is roasted well.

3. Remove from heat and add 1/4 teaspoon organic food color. Mix well.

4. Transfer it to mixing bowl, add1 tablespoon almonds, 1 tablespoon cashews, 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder, 100 grams powdered sugar and mix well to combine.

5. Take a small portion of mixture and make small balls and keep them aside.

6. Take bread slices and remove the brown edges using a sharp knife.

7. Dip it to the milk and squeeze out the extra milk and place one stuffing piece over the bread slice.

8. Lift the bread from all the sides to close the stuffing.

9. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet. Deep fry until crispy and golden brown. Drain it on an absorbent paper.

10. Soak the mawa rolls in sugar syrup and roll in grated coconut.

11. Serve.
