Jam Biscuits
Servings - 2 - 3
INGREDIENTS
Butter - 100 grams
Powdered sugar - 70 grams
Vanilla essence - 1 teaspoon
Cold water - 60 milliliters
All purpose flour - 200 grams
Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
Baking powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Mix fruit jam
PREPARATION
- In a mixing bowl, add 100 grams butter, 70 grams powdered sugar and mix it well.
- Now, add 1 teaspoon vanilla essence, 60 milliliters cold water and mix it again.
- Then, add 200 grams all purpose flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon baking powder and knead it into a smooth dough.
- Refrigerate for 10 - 15 minutes.
- Now, Make a chapati like shape and cut into any shape with the help of a biscuit cutter. Stamp out a smaller circle from the middles of half the biscuits. (See video)
- Put the biscuits on baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 320°F/160°C. Bake for 10 - 12 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- When completely cold, spread the round corners of biscuits with mix fruit jam with help of icing cone.
- Put ring-shaped biscuits on top of a jam-covered biscuit and press lightly together.
- Dust the ring-shaped biscuits with powdered sugar.
- Fill the top middle part of biscuits with thin layer of mix fruit jam.
- Serve.
