Madeira Cake

INGREDIENTS
Egg powder - 100 grams
Water - 70 milliliters
Unsalted butter - 150 grams
Powdered sugar - 150 grams
All purpose flour - 200 grams
Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
Orange zest - 1 tablespoon
Lemon essence - 1 teaspoon
Milk - 100 milliliters
White chocolate ganache - for garnishing
Orange slices
PREPARATION
- In a bowl, add 100 grams egg powder, 70 milliliters water and mix it well. Keep aside.
- In a mixing bowl, add 150 grams unsalted butter and whisk it well.
- Then, add 150 grams powdered sugar and mix it well.
- Now, add the egg mixture in it and mix it well.
- Add 200 grams all purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 tablespoon orange zest, 1 teaspoon lemon essence, 100 milliliters milk and mix it well to make a thick batter.
- Transfer this mixture into a baking tray and spread it evenly.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C. Bake for 50 - 55 minutes.
- Remove it from oven.
- Drizzle some white chocolate ganache on it.
- Add some orange slices on top of it.
- Cut it into slices.
- Serve.
