Chicken Vada Pav
Servings - 2 - 3
INGREDIENTS
Gram flour - 150 grams
Carom seeds - 1 tablespoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Water - 200 milliliters
Boneless Chicken - 350 grams
Onions - 90 grams
Garlic - 1 tablespoon
Green chili - 1 teaspoon
Red chili - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Ginger - 1/2 tablespoon
Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Coriander - 2 tablespoons
Oil - for frying
Butter - 1 teaspoon
Pav buns
Green chutney - to taste
Garlic chilli chutney - to taste
Onions - to taste
Red chili - to taste
Lemon wedge - to taste
PREPARATION
1. In a mixing bowl, add 150 grams gram flour, 1 tablespoon carom seeds, 1 teaspoon salt, 200 milliliters water and mix it well to make a thick batter.
2. In a blender, add 350 grams boneless chicken, 90 grams onions, 1 tablespoon garlic, 1 teaspoon green chili, 1 teaspoon red chili, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, 1/2 tablespoon ginger, 1 teaspoon garam masala, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons coriander and blend it well.
3. Transfer this into a bowl.
4. Take some mixture in your hands and shape it into a vada.
5. Dip this into the gram flour mixture and coat it well.
6. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry these till golden brown and crispy.
7. Drain it on an absorbent paper.
8. Heat 1 teaspoon butter in a pan and place pav buns on it.
9. Cook them for a minute.
10. Now, place it on a board and apply green chutney on side of the pav.
11. Spread garlic chilli chutney on the other side.
12. Place some onions.
13. Sprinkle red chili on it.
14. Squeeze a lemon wedge on it.
15. Place the prepared vada on top of it.
16. Now, close it with other half of the pav.
17. Serve.
Keema Pav Toast
Servings - 2 - 3
INGREDIENTS
Oil - 2 tablespoons
Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
Onions - 100 grams
Minced chicken - 450 grams
Tomato - 120 grams
Red chili - 2 teaspoons
Coriander powder - 2 teaspoons
Salt - 1 1/2 teaspoons
Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
Water - 50 milliliters
Coriander - 1 tablespoon
Pav buns
Onions rings - to taste
Coriander - to taste
Mozzarella cheese - to taste
PREPARATION
1. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan, add 1 tablespoon ginger paste, 1 tablespoon garlic paste and saute for a minute.
2. Then, add 100 grams onions and fry till translucent.
3. Now, add 450 minced chicken and mix it well.
4. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes.
5. Add 120 grams tomato and saute for another 5 - 7 minutes.
6. Add 2 teaspoons red chili, 2 teaspoons coriander powder, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon garam masala and mix it well.
7. Then, add 50 milliliters water, 1 tablespoon coriander and mix it again.
8. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on low heat until the chicken is cooked through.
9. Take 2 pav buns and cut it into half from center.
10. Place some prepared keema on it.
11. Then, add onion rings.
12. Top with coriander and mozzarella cheese.
13. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F. Bake for 10 - 12 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
14. Serve
