3 Homemade 3-3.5 Years Baby Food Recipes

 

Whole Wheat & Dates Cookies

 

Servings - 2 - 3

 

INGREDIENTS
Water - 200 milliliters

Dates - 20 grams

Wheat flour - 70 grams

Jaggery powder - 1 tablespoon

Butter - 15 milliliters

Milk - 30 milliliters

 

PREPARATION

  1. Take a pan, add 200 milliliters water, 20 grams dates and mix it well.
  2. Bring it to a boil.
  3. Remove it from heat and strain the dates.
  4. Transfer this into a blender and blend it into a paste. Keep aside.
  5. In a mixing bowl, add 70 grams wheat flour, 1 tablespoon jaggery powder, blended dates, 15 milliliters butter and mix it well.
  6. Add 30 milliliters milk and knead it into a dough.
  7. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  8. Take a ball from dough and flatten it with the help of a rolling pin.
  9. Cut out desired shapes from it.
  10. Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C. Bake for about 10 - 12 minutes.
  11. Remove it from oven.
  12. Serve.

 

Vegetable Idli

 

Servings - 2 - 3

 

INGREDIENTS

Semolina - 100 grams

Yogurt - 100 grams

Salt - 1/2 teaspoon

Carrot - 15 grams

Cabbage - 25 grams

Spinach - 10 grams

Bell pepper - 15 grams

Water - 70 milliliters

Water - for steaming

 

PREPARATION

  1. In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients and mix it well.
  2. Rest the batter 4 - 6 hours.
  3. Divided the batter into the idli maker.
  4. Heat some water in a heavy skillet, add the idli maker in it.
  5. Cover it with lid and steam for about 15 minutes.
  6. Open the lid and remove it from heat.
  7. Serve.

 

Cabbage & Moong Dal Khichdi

 

Servings - 2 - 3

 

INGREDIENTS

Rice - 50 grams

Split green gram - 30 grams

Water - 500 milliliters, divided

Salt - 1/2 teaspoon

Ghee - 15 milliliters

Cumin - 1 teaspoon

Cabbage - 30 grams

Turmeric - 1/8 teaspoon

 

PREPARATION

  1. In a bowl, add 50 grams rice, 30 grams split green gram, 250 milliliters water and soak for 20 minutes.
  2. Take a pressure cooker, add 250 milliliters water, soaked rice and lentil, 1/2 teaspoon salt and mix it well.
  3. Cover it with lid and cook until you hear 3 whistles.
  4. Open the lid and remove it from heat.
  5. Heat 15 milliliters ghee in a skillet, add 1 teaspoon cumin and stir well.
  6. Then, add 25 grams cabbage and mix it well.
  7. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  8. Add 1/8 teaspoon turmeric and stir well.
  9. Now, add the boiled khichdi and mix it well.
  10. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
  11. Remove it from heat.
  12. Serve.
