Baby Corn Fritters
Servings - 2 - 3
INGREDIENTS
Water - 1.3 litres
Baby corns - 340 grams
Bell pepper - 220 grams
Garlic - 1 tablespoon
Ginger - 1 1/2 tablespoons
Green chili - 1 tablespoon
All purpose flour - 100 grams
Gram flour - 45 grams
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
Oil - for frying
PREPARATION
- Take a skillet, add 1.3 litres water, 340 grams baby corn and stir well.
- Bring it to a boil.
- Boil for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
- Remove it from heat and drain the baby corns.
- Cut it into pieces.
- Transfer this into a blender, add 220 grams bell pepper and blend it into a mixture.
- Transfer this into a mixing bowl, add 1 tablespoon garlic, 1 1/2 tablespoons ginger, 1 tablespoon green chili, 100 grams all purpose flour, 45 grams gram flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon garam masala, 2 tablespoons lemon juice and mix all the ingredients well.
- Take some mixture in your hands and shape it into a tikki.
- Heat sufficient oil in a deep fryer and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain it on an absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with chutney or sauce.
