Cheesy Paneer Square
Servings - 2 - 3
INGREDIENTS
Butter - 1 tablespoon
Garlic - 1 tablespoon
Green chili - 1 teaspoon
White spring onions - 1 tablespoon
Bell pepper - 100 grams
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Chilli flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
Paneer - 195 grams
Milk - 35 milliliters
Cheese slices - 3
Green spring onions - 1 tablespoon
Bread slices
Butter - for shallow frying and brushing
Oregano - to taste
Black olives - to taste
PREPARATION
- Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a pan, add 1 tablespoon garlic and stir well.
- Then, add 1 teaspoon green chili, 1 tablespoon white spring onions and fry till translucent or until it turns golden brown in color.
- Now, add 100 grams bell pepper and mix it well.
- Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes and mix it wel.
- Then, add 195 grams paneer and mix it well.
- Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
- Add 35 milliliters milk and mix it well.
- Now, add 3 cheese slices and mix it well.
- Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat or until the cheese is melted.
- Add 1 tablespoon green spring onions and mix it well.
- Cook for another 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
- Remove it from heat and keep aside.
- Take a bread slice and cut it’s edges.
- Heat some butter on a pan, add the bread slice on it.
- Brush it with butter.
- Flip it gently.
- Cook until it turns golden brown in color from both sides.
- Remove it from heat and place it on a board.
- Cut it into four equal pieces.
- Add the prepared paneer mixture on it.
- Sprinkle some oregano on it.
- Top with black olive.
- Serve.
