Poha Namkeen Donuts

INGREDIENTS
Flattened rice - 250 grams
Water - 750 milliliters
All purpose flour - 100 grams
Corn flour - 90 grams
Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
Water - 350 milliliters
Dried parsley - 1 teaspoon
Dried thyme - 1 teaspoon
Dried basil - 1 teaspoon
Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
Onions - 65 grams
Pasta sauce - 55 grams
Green chili - 1 teaspoon
Rice flour - 50 grams
Coriander - 1 tablespoon
Chilli flakes - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Bread crumbs - for coating
Oil - for frying
PREPARATION
- In a bowl, add 250 grams flattened rice, 750 milliliters water and soak for 5 - 7 minutes.
- Strain the rice and transfer this into a blender.
- Blend it well.
- In a mixing bowl, add 100 grams all purpose flour, 90 grams corn flour, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 350 milliliters water and mix it well to make a thick batter.
- In a bowl, add 1 teaspoon dried parsley, 1 teaspoon dried thyme, 1 teaspoon dried basil, 1 teaspoon dried oregano and mix it well.
- Transfer the blended flattened rice into a bowl, add 65 grams onions, 55 grams pasta sauce, 1 teaspoon green chili, 50 grams rice flour, prepared mixed herbs, 1 tablespoon coriander, 1 teaspoon chilli flakes, 1 teaspoon salt and mix it well.
- Take some mixture in your hands and shape it into a patty.
- Now, place it on a board and make a hole inside it with the help of your finger. (See Video)
- Dip it in the prepared batter and then roll it in bread crumbs properly.
- Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain it on an absorbent paper.
- Serve hot.
