Stuffed Paneer Paratha
Servings - 2 - 3
INGREDIENTS
Wheat flour - 200 grams
Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
Ghee - 1 tablespoon
Water - 160 milliliters
Grated paneer - 100 grams
Onions - 35 grams
Carom seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander - 1 tablespoon
Ghee - for brushing
PREPARATION
- In a mixing bowl, add 200 grams wheat flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon ghee and mix it well.
- Add 160 milliliters water and knead it into a smooth soft dough.
- Rest the dough for 15 - 20 minutes.
- In a another mixing bowl, add 100 grams grated paneer, 35 grams onions, 1/4 teaspoon carom seeds, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon coriander and mix it well.
- Take a medium size ball from the dough. (see video)
- Flatten it with the help of a rolling pin.
- Place few tablespoons of the stuffing on the dough circle. Seal the edges completely so that the stuffing does not come out.
- Flatten the dough circle, roll them with a roller to approximately six-inch diameter. This is now called a paratha.
- Heat a skillet, place paratha on it and cook on moderate heat for three minutes. Turn it and brush it with ghee
- Shallow fry over low heat.
- Turn it and again brush the other side too. Cook on low heat till golden brown.
- Remove it from heat.
- Serve hot with curd.
