Tofu Sticks With Tartar Sauce

INGREDIENTS
Mayonnaise - 160 grams
Dill pickle - 55 grams
Parsley - 1 tablespoon
Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
Sugar - 1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Cornmeal - 55 grams
Wheat flour - 65 grams
Dried basil - 1 tablespoon
Garlic powder - 1 1/2 teaspoons
Onion powder - 1 1/2 teaspoons
Sea salt - 1 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1 1/2 teaspoons
Soy milk - 200 milliliters
Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
Tofu - 300 grams
Oil - for frying
PREPARATION
- In a bowl, add 160 grams mayonnaise, 55 grams dill pickle, 1 tablespoon parsley, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder and mix it well.
- In a another bowl, add 55 grams cornmeal, 65 grams wheat flour, 1 tablespoon dried basil, 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder, 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder, 1 teaspoon sea salt, 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper and mix it well.
- In a another bowl, add 200 milliliters soy milk, 1 teaspoon lemon juice and mix it well.
- Take a tofu stick and dip it in prepared soy milk batter and the roll it in cornmeal mixture properly.
- Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain it on an absorbent paper.
- Garnish with parsley.
- Serve hot with prepared tartar sauce.
