Hara Masala Mutton Curry
Servings - 2 - 3
INGREDIENTS
Green chili - 1 tablespoons
Onions - 230 grams
Coriander - 50 grams
Spring onions - 130 grams
Oil - 60 milliliters
Green cardamom - 3 pods
Black cardamom - 1 pod
Cinnamon stick - 2 inch
Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
Mutton - 920 grams
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Water - 500 milliliters
Curd - 300 grams
Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
Dry fenugreek leaves - 1 tablespoon
Green chili - for garnishing
PERPARATION
1. In a blender, add 1 tablespoon green chili, 230 grams onions, 50 grams coriander, 130 grams spring onions and blend it into a smooth paste. Keep aside.
2. Heat 60 milliliters oil in a heavy skillet, add 3 pods green cardamom, 1 pod black cardamom, 2 inch cinnamon stick and stir well.
3. Add 1 tablespoon garlic paste, 1 tablespoon ginger paste and saute for 2 - 3 minutes.
4. Then, add 920 grams mutton and mix it well.
5. Cook for 7 - 10 minutes on medium heat.
6. Now, add the blended mixture in it and mix it well.
7. Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper and mix it again.
8. Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric and stir well.
9. Then, add 1 teaspoon coriander powder and mix it well.
10. Now, add 500 milliliters water and stir well.
11. Cover it with and cook for about 20 minutes on medium heat.
12. Open the lid and give it a nice stir.
13. Again cover it with a lid and cook for another 20 minutes on medium heat.
14. Open the lid and stir well.
15. Add 300 grams curd and mix it well.
16. Add 1 teaspoon garam masala, 1 tablespoon dry fenugreek leaves and mix it well.
17. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
18. Garnish with green chili.
19. Serve hot with naan.
