Indian Style Turkey Gravy
Servings - 2 - 3
INGREDIENTS
U.S. turkey - 1 kilogram
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
Red chili - 1 teaspoon
Water - 500 milliliters
Oil - 50 milliliters
Cumin - 1 teaspoon
Onion paste - 400 grams
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tablespoons
Green chili - 2 tablespoons
Red chili paste - 1 teaspoon
Tomato puree - 400 grams
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Red chili - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon
Cumin powder - 1 tablespoon
Fennel powder - 1 teaspoon
Water - 250 milliliters
Garam masala - 1 tablespoon
Coriander - 1 tablespoon
PREPARATION
- Take a pressure cooker, add 1 kilogram u.s. turkey, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon red chili, 500 milliliters water and mix it well.
- Cover it with lid and cook until you hear 3 - 4 whistles.
- Open the lid and remove it from heat.
- Heat 50 milliliters oil in a heavy skillet, add 1 teaspoon cumin and stir well.
- Then, add 400 grams onion paste and mix it well.
- Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat or until it turns golden brown in color.
- Add 2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste, 2 tablespoons green chili, 1 teaspoon red chili paste and mix it well.
- Now, add 400 grams tomato puree and mix it well.
- Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
- Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon red chili, 1 tablespoon coriander powder, 1 tablespoon cumin powder, 1 teaspoon fennel powder and mix it well.
- Cover it with lid and cook for about 10 - 15 minutes on medium heat.
- Open the lid and give it a nice stir.
- Then, add the cooked turkey in it and mix it well.
- Now, add 250 milliliters water and mix it well.
- Again cover it with lid and cook for about 5 - 7 minutes on medium heat.
- Open the lid, add 1 tablespoon garam masala, 1 tablespoon coriander and mix it well.
- Cook for another 3 - 5 minutes on medium heat.
- Remove it from heat.
- Garnish with coriander.
- Serve hot.
