Korean Fried Okra

INGREDIENTS
Okra - 400 grams
All purpose flour - 100 grams
Corn flour - 40 grams
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon

Baking soda - 1/8 teaspoon
Water - 200 milliliters
Oil - for fry
Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
Garlic - 1 tablespoon
Gochujang paste - 2 tablespoons
Tomato sauce - 2 tablespoons
Honey - 2 tablespoons
Chilli flakes - 1 teaspoon
Water - 100 milliliters
White sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
Green spring onions - 2 tablespoons
White sesame seeds - for garnishing
Green spring onions - for garnishing
PREPARATION
1. On a board, place 400 grams okra and slit it into two. Keep aside.
2. In a bowl, add 100 grams all purpose flour, 40 grams corn flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon paprika and mix it well.
3. In a bowl, add 100 grams all purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 40 grams corn flour, 1/8 teaspoon baking soda, 200 milliliters whisk it well.
4. Dip okra in it and coat it with prepared mixture.
5. Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry these until golden brown and crispy.
6. Remove it from heat and drain it on an absorbent paper.
7. Heat 2 tablespoons sesame oil in a pan, add 1 tablespoon garlic and stir well.
8. Add 2 tablespoons gochujang paste, 2 tablespoons tomato sauce, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 teaspoon chilli flakes and cook for 2 minutes.
9. Add 100 milliliters water and cook for 1 minute.
10. Add fried okra, 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds, 2 tablespoons green spring onions and cook for 2 minutes. Remove it from heat.
11. Garnish with white sesame seeds and green spring onions.
12. Serve hot.
