Kesar Mango Peda
Serving - 8
Mangoes - 500 grams
Warm milk - 25 milliliters
Saffron - 1/8 teaspoon
Desi ghee - 1 tablespoon
Sugar - 25 grams
Milk powder - 200 grams
Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Desi ghee - 1 teaspoom
Pistachios - for garnish
PREPARATION
- In a blender add 500 grams chopped mangoes and blend it to a smooth puree.
- In a bowl, add 25 milliliters warm milk, 1/8 teaspoon saffron and mix.
- Keep aside and soak for 30 minutes .
- Now, in a wok add 1 tablespoon desi ghee, and blended mango puree.
- Stir it well.
- Then , add soaked saffron milk. Mix well.
- Now, add 25 grams sugar and stir until it melts.
- Add 200 grams milk powder and mix well.
- Now add 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder, and 1 teaspoon desi ghee.
- Give it a nice mix and cook on low heat.
- Remove the pan from heat.
- Transfer the mixture in a bowl.
- Allow it to cool for 10- 15 minutes.
- Now, take a small portion from dough and roll it into a small ball.
- Press it from centre to make a small cavity and fill it with some pistachios.
- Serve.
